CO₂ Emission 2025 De Hoop Terneuzen

5 May 2026

To provide insight into our carbon footprint, we collect various data annually. We map out the amount of gas we use for building heating, the amount of fuel consumed by our (freight) vehicles, and the amount of electricity we purchase each year.

De Hoop Terneuzen is constantly looking for opportunities and possibilities to reduce or compensate for its footprint. For this purpose, we invest in cleaner work equipment powered by electricity, HVO fuel, or other cleaner alternatives to fossil fuels. Examples include the use of energy-efficient and/or electrically powered vehicles.

In addition, we focus on innovative product developments that are an important part of our additional efforts to reduce emissions and minimise environmental impact. Think of the installation of solar panels, compensation for goods transport and purchased fuel, the exclusive use of green electricity, collaboration with local businesses, and the planting of many hectares of trees.
