Our subsidiary De Hoop Pekso has been nominated for the 2026 Zeeland Innovation Award Emergo with its innovative HOUTON floor system. On 14 July 2026, Provincial Executive member Johan Aalberts announced the five nominees for this prestigious innovation award.

On 10 July 2026, it will be exactly 150 years since Vuurtoren ’t Lage Licht in Westkapelle was first lit. For one of our newest subsidiaries, this anniversary is particularly special. ’t Lage Licht was not built of brick, but of cast iron. The cast-iron segments of the tower came from Nering Bögel BV, which at the time was one of the leading iron foundries in the Netherlands.

To provide insight into our carbon footprint, we collect various data annually. We map out the amount of gas we use for building heating, the amount of fuel consumed by our (freight) vehicles, and the amount of electricity we purchase each year.

New woodland is urgently needed. Not only to capture CO₂, but also to strengthen biodiversity and make Zeeland greener and more liveable for future generations. That is why De Hoop Terneuzen, together with Staatsbosbeheer, is investing in the planting of 100 hectares of new forest in our province.

With the addition of Havebo, De Hoop Terneuzen is further expanding its concrete product activities by broadening and deepening its range of flooring solutions for residential and non-residential construction.

The iconic auction hall on Steenovenweg in Utrecht was officially reopened on Wednesday, 18 June, following a major renovation. With strong attendance from local residents, customers and guests, Rolf Keijzer, store manager of GAMMA, and Chiel Rowaan, supermarket manager at Hoogvliet, cut the ribbon together.

The collaboration between De Hoop Terneuzen and Staatsbosbeheer is bearing fruit: 25 hectares of new forest have now been planted. This marks a new milestone in their joint ambition to create a total of 100 hectares of new forest.
